It will be sunny for some of us, but the Southeastern U.S. is experiencing extremely cold weather over the coming weekend.
Please take precautions at your workplace and caution your employees to do the same at their homes and if they are traveling. This may be a long weekend for many businesses.
Take steps to prevent pipes and sprinkler systems from freezing. Be very careful to avoid walking on or across an icy sidewalk. Slips and falls are very injurious.
Also, remind everyone to be very careful when using space heaters and other portable heaters. Do not use these devices near flammable material, drapes, clothing, baby beds, bedding etc. Do not use kerosene heaters indoors and do not use a gas oven to heat your home.
